Una Carta para Solicitar Empleo y la Entrevista

1. Una carta para solicitar empleo
Elige uno de los anuncios clasificados de este capítulo (p. 245 LEER #5; pg. 212 Actividad 11; o p. 209 Anuncios Clasificados) y vas a escribir una carta al gerente para solicitar ese empleo. Incluye:
(a) por qué te interesaría este trabajo,
(b) cuáles son tus cualidades personales que te ayudarían a cumplir con las responsabilidades necesarias y
(c) qué experiencia de trabajo tienes.

Escribe el anuncio que elegiste aquí:









a. Underline all information that is important to you as you write your letter.
b. Write a sentence saying why you’re interested in the job.

h. Type and print your final draft. Double-spaced, size 12 font.

2. La entrevista
Vas a tener una entrevista con el gerente. Le vas a dar tu carta, él/ella la va a leer. Entonces vas a explicarle por qué te interesaría este trabajo. Él/ella te van a preguntar de tus habilidades y de tu experiencia. También tú le vas a preguntar al/a la gerente algunas cosas del puesto. Cada alumno será el gerente una vez y también presentará su carta una vez.

3. The Role Play
You will present your letter to your potential employer. He or she will read through it quickly. Then, they will ask you some questions (these will be written on a notecard). You will answer all the questions asked thoroughly, giving examples and complete answers. Remember, you want to impress this person so that you’ll get the job. The last thing they’ll ask you is if you have any questions. Ask the questions you’ve prepared based on the job you’ve selected. You will have a chance to play the role of the Interviewer and of the person seeking the job.
